Lisa, I missed that story. Good for you! And it makes those items all the more sweet. Enjoy. I want to see the new pearl earrings too.

Your travel outfit is awesome Lisa. But as Griffin cannot get past the glasses I cannot get past the eyebrows. Wow! Please tell me -was the

microblading painful at all? I have awful brows - not just thin but also scarred and they are a pain to handle. Your look so great that I may risk this procedure too.
I also have to agree with Angie that this coat color is incredible for you and beats the black in my book!
Was it warm enough in Calgary for cropped jeans and sneakers? I cannot imagine myself wearing sneakers in winter but I do hav a very cold sensitive feet...
Love the pearls with distressed jeans = perfect!

Sveta - it was well above 0 in Calgary and they have very little snow ,so it was not a problem at all I also wasn't walking around outside .

Microblading is a great thing for those of us with thinning and disappearing eyebrows. The technician uses a topical numbing cream, and the pain is no worse than tweezing your eyebrows. During most of the process, you don't even feel a thing. It takes two sessions to get them to where you want them - first one is the longer of two appts, the second one is a touch-up of sorts. It now means I can wipe my face with a towel at the gym, during yoga, go for a swim etc and not look like a wet rat. I can even get away without brow powder if I want to. I do feel kind of high-maintenance with all of this, but I have so little eyebrow hair I just had to try it. Best thing ever.

Great outfit, looks comfy and put together. These shoes are good looking too.

Absolutely stunning outfit and grooming. Lisa this is especially pertinent for me as I contine to try to define and execute casual but elegant and of the moment as one creeps up the 50s age scale so thank you for the inspiration! Oh to look that good!

Thanks Lisa. I really need to look into this, my eyebrows being as pitiful as they are. And above 0 in Calgary - wow! with us here being in -10C and Washington buried in snow - the weather is crazy!

The pearls are beautiful on you but what really got me was the collar on the coat - love!

Shevia - it's actually a circle scarf thing - not part of the coat

Thank you , jenanded- that's a lovely comment . I will hit 55 this summer , which both fascinates me and freaks me out . How is this happening ?!

I have a long range plan to add an unlined wool coat in my own wardrobe --- It works well for a Midwestern Winter when you spend a lot of the day running from the car to the school, then the library, then the grocery store..... You know, basic hunting and gathering.

You look relaxed and chic --- love the luster of pearls with the cozy of the neutral woo.

And thanks for your take on Boutique shopping --- I always feel lost in them myself, and your experiences show me how to make the best of them.

Stunning! Love the light neutrals contrasting with the dark specs in #2.

You are one stylish traveler. I had to chime in because I LOVE your glasses. The coat is divine on you. Gorgeous, stylish and sporty!
