It's finally here. Tomorrow I have surgery for the first time in my life. I will have a laparoscopic hysterectomy, and everything should be relatively straightforward (I should be able to keep my ovaries and cervix, I got clearance from my cardiologist, etc.), but I've still had some tough emotional moments about all this. Today, I'm running the last of my errands, doing a couple of final things in the studio, etc., before having an early dinner and trying to get a good night's rest before tomorrow.

My sister will be in town for a couple of days to help out, and my husband is being wonderfully supportive. I'm quite nervous, but I know chances are that everything will be OK.

Yesterday, my body decided to give me one final visit from Aunt Flo, just to make sure I welcome her departure! Yeesh. I just had to laugh at that.

Wish me luck!
