This DVF dress, um, may have followed me home yesterday.
I admit, a little retail therapy was involved (yesterday was a tough day, including a doctor visit with some unwelcome news, an EKG with an abnormality, so now I need to go to a cardiologist). I had only intended to get new pantyhose. I had been curious to try this dress though, and when I saw that of the two left on the rack, one was my size, I thought I should try it.
Not really a K/R since I'm about 95% sure I'm going to wear it tomorrow with the new shoes (as you can see, I tried them on together, or at least one of the shoes). I even had the alterations department stitch together the neckline so the wrap stays in place -- I can still easily slip the dress on over my head.
After this and the spectacular new Rockstuds, I will allow myself a new pair of sandals (perhaps the Tuttles from the other day), and then I think I am DONE for a while. I am set for summer. Lots of everything I need, and I even dropped off some items at the cleaners today for some long-delayed alterations (hemming a pair of linen pants I bought at the end of last summer, etc.). I am going to embrace my fab closet and enjoy the heck out of the clothes I have.
Considering I'll probably be in loungewear for a couple of weeks after my surgery next month, I think I'll have more than enough clothes for the warm weather!
