SYC: For Oscar Nominated Shorts

We went to see the Oscar nominated short films last night. We’ve been going for several years, and these were the best bunch I’ve seen. If you have a chance, I would encourage you to go. We saw the short documentaries a few nights ago, but I was too tired to take a picture. I wore a lot of pink that night, too.

Everything I’m wearing I had before I started my no buy year. The coat is North Face, the boots are Seychelles, the sweater is Lands End, the bag is The Sak, and the jeans are Levis.

In 2020 so far, I haven’t bought any clothes or shoes. I did buy a vintage Coach bag that I had been thinking about for awhile, using money I got for Christmas. I plan to use it when it gets warmer.

ETA: I also cleaned my closet the other day. #4 shows my clothes donation.

Rachy, haha! Our forecast for this week is a low of 15F, so no shorts for me.

Jenni, thank you. I donated the clothes and a bunch of books to the thrift store operated by the non profit I belong to. The money goes toward our various programs: new school clothes for needy children, food pantry for low income seniors, grants for school teachers, etc.

Kelly, thank you. I’m wearing knee high hose. It’s too cold here at night to go without.

Toronto girl, thank you. My closet was really horrible. It looks a little tidier now. The shoes are still messy, though.

JAileen - it is easy for me mid summer to have a tidy closet as all my boots, winter knits etc are stored away. Come March when I start introducing them back in but am not ready to quite store summer clothes it looks a lot messier!!

JAileen, did you see the live action or animated shorts. We usually see them each year along with foreign films. I love your outfit and want those blush booties. Congratulations on SYC and your closet clean out. I am so glad that you discovered that shade of pink.

Sal, I can see that having winter and summer things out would be messy. When I get boots out, I put sandals away. The problem is I have too many of both!

Joy, thank you. We saw the live action and animated shorts on one night, and the short documentaries on an earlier night. Both nights totaled about three hours.
