Even though I'm only kinda participating in SYC, I think my goal is going to be to wear everything I own at least twice (and more is welcome and encouraged!). So rather than further limiting my wardrobe options, I'll be making sure I'm taking full advantage of what I do have! And everything that isn't worn by Jan. 1 is getting donated (unless it's gear or something fancy I have no occasion to wear in the next several months). It's mathematically possible to wear everything twice, though the shirts are going to be the hardest to get through twice. Luckily I can layer them, and the count includes 9 camisoles.
Here's the tally of what I have, excluding gear and loungewear:
total bottoms: 34
total dresses: 14
total tops: 64
total layers: 27
The thing I like about this challenge is that failure is still good. Anything I can't get myself to wear twice (and in different ways) in almost 5 months isn't worth keeping.
Edit: The more I think about it, the more I think I should include all of my jewelry and accessories in this challenge... but maybe only wearing them once is ok? Or should I go for wearing all of the accessories and jewelry twice too? I haven't counted the jewelry, but I have 15 shoes (excluding running, pool, and gear shoes), 10 scarves, 10 belts, 3 leggings, and 4 tights, so those are all doable!
