swap haul final elimination round - now styled with effort

I went back and tried actually styling the items that got bad reviews on my last post. Not the blue jacket, though; a couple of you said it was dated, and I couldn't figure out how to un-date it, so out it went!

1- Joe's Jeans. Aida thought these might need a higher heel, and these are the highest casual heels I'm down for - better?
2-3- Floral top. This one wasn't torn apart by the forum, but didn't seem to get much love, either. The bf saw it for the first time today and gave repeated compliments, so I'm leaning toward keeping it (styled w/ double-waistband jeans from Japan :D).
4- Red plaid skirt. Better styled? I would probably wear tights and maybe boots as well, but it's too dang hot.
5-7- I think it's better styled, but still probably not the best... I feel like it makes my lower half look wider, for whatever reason.

Aside: I'm very shocked at how my new Docs make every. single. pair of jeans I own look awesome-er. Even the ones I would have sworn would be too short! It's amazing what an extra 3.5 inches of leg can do for a gal...

LOVE how you styled the skirt in 5 and 6. 7... meh
I still love skirt 4, and you wear those ripped jeans like nobody's business
I don't think you need a higher heel in #1... any higher and the jeans would be too short.

I love both skirts Rae although not so keen on the cardi with it in #7. I wasn't so sure about the coloring of the blouse on you but I think if your getting compliments go for it!

unless you really want the skirt in 5-7 to work, i would let it go.

i love #1, the plaid, the boot cut, the ppl...love.

#2-3: totally digging #2--very very put together. in #3, by itself, the shirt print is a bit overwhelming.

#4 strikes me as a holiday outfit...what do you think?

I'm just weighing in that I'm with hubby about the shirt - I really like it, especially in #3. I like the skirts, too, especially #6. I can't quite tell on the jeans length in #1.

#2/3 is a huge hit for me! I've still got no love for the skirt in #5-7 :/

QM - this is the higher heel - last time around I had a 2.5 inch heel on. If you say I can't go any higher than this, then I'm thinking this is the right height... yes?

Hmm... I like the warmth and length of #5, but if it doesn't work like this, then I don't think it's gonna happen - please keep the opinions coming!

I do like top #2-3 the way you've styled it

I liked #4 before and I like it now. If it feels holiday in January, put it away.

I like #5-7 enough that I think you should wear one of them to work (come fall) and see how you feel. You already own it, don't need to alter it, it has personality.

Stunning Rae! I was one that was uncertain about the skirts however i think the way you have styled them particularly in pics 4 & 5 have completely changed my mind.. they look fantastic. I hope you don't mind me saying I am not sure about the combination of pic 7. It doesn't look like a 'youthful' look to me.

Love what you did with the plaid skirt. However, I am unconvinced about the check skirt, I still think it's too "old fuddy duddy" for you.

I like everything here. I wasn't crazy about the photo floral top but now I really like it. It just needed light wash ripped jeans I guess! I was a fan of the skirts from the get-go, they look great here. I don't think the second skirt makes you look wide at all. It is very classic. It looks like a skirt that the heroine would have worn walking her dog in the book "Rebecca."

Sorry I'm not a fan of skirt in 5-7. You look so totally awesome in your WIW every day and I don't think this one is up to par.

Really like how you've styled skirt 4. I liked it before but now it is fab.

Sometimes it's hard to tell colour in pics. How awesome that bf is giving you compliments on that floral top.

The rest of the items look awesome on you and you've put them together so well.

Good lord, you would have to be ultra picky to find fault!! If I had to say I think the skirt in 5-7 is not quite there

I think you did an awesome job in all of these. Love the jeans looks especially. I like the skirts, I think they are fun for work. I like the longer lengths on you, when you wear them with boots or heels they make your legs look miles long. That vest look in 6 is super cute.

I really love everything! My favorite styling of the checked skirt is #6--I think slightly preppy with an edge is the way to go with this skirt. You look great!
