This morning I decided to wear my new LL Bean cotton jeans for the first time. (Color shown in Finds is lighter than mine.) I bought a size smaller than the last pairs because those stretched and stretched. These were snug in the waist, but today I put them on and could zip them. And what to wear on top with today's predicted high of 95°? I looked in the darkest closet corner and found a Nik +Zoe top I bought on sale and have never worn. Hey, the browns matched!
It's cool inside so I needed something on top and pulled out this open knit crochet cardi bought last year and not worn much then. Wasn't sure about the Ecco slip ons, bought a couple of years ago but not worn as much as expected. What do you wear orange shoes with, anyway?
Despite my hair not looking great, I decided I'd take a shot and show it off.
I love N+Z tops because they flare out a bit instead of hugging my middle like so many tees and sweaters do.
I'm facing the reality that no matter how much I stretch, or do my PT exercises, I'm never regaining those 3" lost from my spine. Those lost vertical inches turn into horizontal inches at the waistline. This last 12 months has been a time of facing up to the reality of aging.
And just for fun, a look back to my first every online fashion posted photo. It was 2005 or 06.
