Sunny but freezing - WIW

Some new WIWs today. Feel very free to share your thoughts and critique.

The upper part of the outfits are hidden under the jacket, but it's impossible to loose the coat in this weather (sunny, but freezing). Finding a nice jacket to complement the rest of the outfit has always been the hardest part for me when it comes to styling. It's more often than not a catastrophe, lol.

I thought the camel coat looked more flattering than the pics reveal. Is it kinda short on me? Overall bad fit? The striped parka seemed less sports gear-y and more classic to me in the store, but maybe I'm wrong?

I definitely don’t think the camel coat is too short,if anything it looks on the big side to me but in an intentional oversized look way and I like your stripy parka it’s cheerful.

I really like both the looks. The camel coat looks great, not too short. To my eye a very modern cool look. The striped jacket is super cute with the white boots and cuffed jeans. Really nicely done!

Thank you all for the comments! I'm having the parka tailored, maybe the coat too (the tailor being myself. I have had luck doing minor alterations before. Haha, this could be a disaster).

Smittie It's my darling husband being the photographer, whenever we're out hiking/strolling together. We're beyond the point of him being embarrassed for "playing fashion model" with me, now he just pulls out his cell and shoots some snaps when I ask him to. Haha! He's very patient, bless him.

The camel coat looks fine to my eye. A long coat is a treasure when it is really cold. The striped jacket outfit looks fresh and spring-like.

Synne- we are all sick and tired of the freezing weather and snow. We are all ready to shed our coats. I think you look great in both coats-
like the scarf with camel- length and color dots perfect. Looks polished and formal like (even with jeans)
The casual style coat is a fabulous find. I expect we will be seeing more of that in waning days of winter!

I like your outfits. It’s interesting how you mix cool colours with warm colours too. Your shoe choices are perfect. I think the oversized coat is funky, and the stripy coat is cute. And fresh. It does look sporty but it still works.

Do you think the coat should be longer? I actually wondered if it shouldn't be shorter or perhaps worn with a slight heel (if you do wear heels - I don't) or else with a longer line (shoes that match the jeans). But I still like it! Love the stripes with white boots too!

I was thinking the same as Shevia....that your coat might need to be worn with a bit of a heel. I love the blue and white striped coat with the white boots. So fun!

The first outfit is so good, Imthought it was a street style inspiration pic! Clever bookending of boots and coat. The second outfit is more sporty, but what is wrong with that? The stripes are crisp and fun.
