I wore the first outfit to the aquarium with my girls. It was overcast in the morning and chilly by the harbor - the jacket saved me.
The formula for a changeable New England summer day is:
tank top + walking shorts + knit/woven blazer
The second is the fab Gibson linen one button blazer suggested by Angie. I haven't worn it out yet but will soon! Another instant love for me.
(My new Born 'butternut clogs' as Angie calls them, were fantastic for 6+ hours of city walking.)
ETA When I wore the purple jacket to the aquarium, I had the sleeves folded and scrunched up 3/4 length).
