I'm a fan of pattern mixing. I like the visual interest that subtle pattern mixing brings to an outfit.
Here's my version of a subtle pattern mix which is sort of like outfit #2 (not the same colors but also a sweater and wide leg trousers) in this blog post Outfit Formula: Subtle Pattern Mix.
I paired a floral printed sweater and my new tan wide leg, pleated, white windowpane trousers that I just picked up from the tailor because I had to get them shortened before I could wear them.
