An amazing dress! Jenni is a great shoe shopper! I’m looking forward to seeing what you choose. I like the metallic idea.

I love those Jenni!! I am doing the school shoe shop today and will check them out. Perfect colours and heel height!! My only question is stockings with s slingback?

The dress is perfect on you. I like the idea of a metallic shoe to get away from an all-black ensemble. I look forward to seeing what you find.

Yes I'm not totally sure about stockings with a slingback either. Although if they are fairly nude I can't see a big issue? We might need Angie to tell us if that is a no-no!

I have no shoe recommendations, just wanted to say how much I LOVE it when beautiful clothes looks better on "real women" than on models--something which seems to happen a lot here on YLF! That dress is perfect for you, and a nice choice for a wedding. You look wonderful.

Thanks all.

I do agree that the dress is better on me than the model - which is crazy really because she is trying to sell it, is probably wearing a small where I am in the large, and is at least 20 years younger, probably close to 30. And she is a model and I am not:)

There seems to be a trend here for showing models in white sneakers or other quite bulky flat shoes. Also models looking grim and miserable. And I know this see through look with "large knickers" has trended on celebrities but.....

I am all for variety and while I would always prefer this dress with an elegant shoe I can see how showing different stylings could attract different customers.

I purchased this in store on heavy discount - I didn't see it online until I created the find....I would not have considered it from the online photo.

Update for Jenni-one of our Hannahs did not have either pair of slingbacks!! And I called into Merchant and they had very very few heels at all - lots of boots and lots of flats.

Only first look and I can look online or maybe outlet...interesting though.

I did add some new shoes - went for black and added thinking in first post along with a picture.

A u turn from metallic but my lack of heel wearing opportunities made me realise classic and black would get more wear - Italian and well balanced and all leather also helped!!

These will serve you well, Sally -- it makes sense!

Very chic new shoes. I'm sure they will work well for many fun occasions after the wedding.

Thanks Suz and Helen - like so many of us the opportunities to wear heels are few and far between (especially in winter when we become more hermit-like around here). But there have been one or two work occasions each year when I have not had a classic black heel - so I decided this was the chance to upgrade this area. And I really like them a lot despite not being as fun or bookending as well as a bronze or gold pair.

Your new shoes are classic and lovely. I hope maybe you still do one of the more metallic trenches? True and funny story, after being excited to find metallic heels for you all at no cost to me I've developed a bit of a hankering for some myself. I'm really rather keen on those Supersoft metallic slingbacks from Hannahs! But I'm resisting as I have no occasion to wear such.
I suppose it's predictable that after looking hard for such a type of shoe I would end up wanting some! Speaking sternly to myself

I know! I liked the look of them too but in the end decided not to get an evening only shoe. I do thank you for looking though!!!!
