Slingbacks & pantyhose?

Can you wear slingback pumps (closed toe) with nude, sheer pantyhose or is that a no-no?
I do prefer the look of bare legs with slingbacks, but that would really limit wearing slingbacks to summer for me.

However, for me, while I would never wear hose with open toed shoes, I think you could get away with it while wearing a slingback.

I agree. I think it should be fine. Some shades of hose are so light that a person would be hard pressed to even know you were wearing hose.

I agree, but you need to find the right pantyhose, which is not that easy, specially if you have very fair skin, like me.

I think this is fine, and not really noticeable anyhow. Now with peep topes I say is a no-no. Looks like old lady who wear hose with all kinds of sandals.

I have a pair of blak glitzy sling back sandals which I wear with black sheers for a night out in winter, otherwise I preffer slingbacks without hose, if weather permits (usually in summer) but if you will find the perfect shade matching your skin, I think you can still do it!

I found they were too slippery with hose - and moved around too much on my foot. I personally prefer them worn without , but if one is more comfortable with hosiery on, then go for it.

I hadn't even thought about the slippery factor, that might be a real issue.

And finding pantyhose that is actually nude looking. Ah well, I may just have to wait till it warms up a bit

Sling backs are a warm weather shoe in my head - excluding evening dressy events, I wouldn't be wearing slingbacks and hose at the same time. But then, I rarely wear hose anyway (tights yes, in the winter, but not with sling backs).

I do it. And I've even worn casual slingbacks with tights in the fall.
You could try nude micro fishnets, if you're worried about slipping. They also tend to look quite nude, too, since your own skin color is blending with the tint of the net. Here are two Finds that I wear and like.

I wear slingbacks a lot in the warmer months....a great style for petites and a bit of a favourite....but have never thought to wear them with hose. Not sure that the combination would be practical or look good. Personally I'd wear a closed shoe if I needed to wear hose.
