WIW...jeans styling - the wide cuff

This summer I sourced some CK straight leg jeans in a longer length for F/W. Inspired by the dark wash Cos cuffed jeans in Angie's Fab Items post, I've styled mine with a deep cuff, because I'm not quite ready to settle into F/W longer length. I don't think wide cuffs are a new-new thing, but it is new for me. I double cuffed, and show more ankle than the inspo pic. What do you think?

@lisap - straights! NOT skinnies at all! I can't/don't wear skinnies. That said these are a little roomier than my other CK's. They were labelled 'traditional midrise'.

Perfection! This is about the only way I wear my denim these days. Straight leg, dark denim, no distressing, and one big fold up, so my single fold would create a slightly taller cuff. These look great, but i wouldn't shy away from a single taller cuff, which to my eye looks very modern.

Agree that this look has retro vibes. Somewhere I have a picture of my mother and me wearing wide cuffed jeans in 1964. Ever since then, I have liked the look of wide cuffed jeans. To my eye, wide cuffs suit heavy fabrics better than narrow cuffs do.

Torontogirl, did Audrey Hepburn wear something like this look? I don't remember. But if she did, I like it even better.

When it gets cooler I am going to copy this outfit with my longer jeans. Although I have seen bunchy jeans are now a thing and I am here for it .

Great!! And I've learned looking at your wiw's that a lighter shoe looks much more easier to do (to me anyway:-)) to a cuffed dark denim (as the lighter color of the reverse is echoing better with the pale shoes). Score!
