Stripes on top, w. new hair debut.

Hello Ladies,

These patterned pants didn't get much out last Winter, so I wanted to wear them before the warmer weather kicks in.
Worn with a cobalt Tee to bring out their blue bits and my Brown Sugar striped jacket.
New hair cut that I straightened today, but looks O.K. left wavy in the humidity.
DH wasn't a big fan of the shortness of the back (it is a concave bob) so I felt a little unhappy about it for a while too

YLF Lyn - I really like your hair. I know what you mean about how it feels when it's too short at the back though.

Couldn't you wear these pants a little further into spring with a caged sandal & a lighter top?

Lyn you hair looks gorgeous. I love a look that is short at the back, but I understand if you partner doesn't love it, it can affect how we feel:)

As Caro, suggested, these pants look like they would take you into Spring... are they a heavy weight? I love the pattern mix Lyn it is quite inspired, and it works My poor jacket isn't getting much love:(

They're super pants Lyn so it would be great to get more use out of them. You know what Spring is like, it throws up some cool days and even cooler nights.

I will probably wear the pants awhile longer, I guess it was the darker colours that had me thinking 'Winter Only' with these.
And thanks for the hair compliments- nobody else has said anything about it, so either they didn't notice or it was don't say anything unless it's positive.

I love the pattern mixing in this outfit, Lyn. Fun and bold. And your hair looks lovely too.

Are your pants loose at the waist and falling down, Lyn? They might need a little waist adjustment.

You could also wear a longer black top and leave the jacket open.

Lyn, your hair looks cute! I hate it when my love doesn't like my haircut though, so I sympathize. Now he cuts it for me, so if he doesn't like it he has to keep mum. ha ha!

I think this outfit is daring and adorable. I like Angie's suggestion of a longer black top and open jacket. Since the jacket is short, you'll get a

Yes, guilty of sizing up for my thighs and some slouch and ending up with a loose waistband.
I usually wear a belt to combat this, but under a buttoned jacket knew it would add bulk.

That Angie has an amazing eye, doesn't she? Wow. But these pants are super fun, Lyn. And you look great with your new hair. Sometimes it just takes a while for our loved ones' eyes to adjust, as Beth Ann says.

Love the outfit and your hair. You look great. Those colors are wonderful on you, and I like the pattern-mixed jacket with the pants. I noticed the pants look a little long in the crotch area, but Angie pinpointed the issue! Now I know what to look for, too, when that happens.
I could see this outfit with a white top, jacket open, and sandals (especially in a nude or metallic), for warmer weather.

High marks for the hair. I like the combination of patterns and colour in this outfit and each piece looks very multi-seasonal. The pants do look a tiny bit big but only if I'm being picky and nothing that you couldn't change with some tailoring if you want a more fitted look.

I can hardly look at your outfit because I'm so enamored with your hair! I love it. I have a face shape similar to yours and I seem to keep going back to the bob. It's really good at rounding out all the of the length and angles of my (our) face shape. The back looks lovely, and it will grow. I was afraid someone had take the buzzers to the back of your neck from what your said, but then I saw the pictures and was relieved! It's beautiful. And I love your stripe-y blazer too!

I don't know what a concave bob is, but your hair looks good to me. It's what I call "society hair". I had a big love affair with "society hair" but it all went to the dogs went I. Magnin's went away and there was nowhere to get this kind of cut.

That was a terrible time. All the salons were *like* half espresso bar. Not joking. You'd have to fight your way to the stylist's chair thru these lines of people waiting to buy coffee.

Claire, you are very kind! My stylist says that small faces can get lost with big hair.
In my WIW yesterday I broke it up a bit with my straightener like this-
and took my Mum to an appointment. I liked it better, but she straight out told me she didn't like it at all! Still, I figure if the older generation doesn't 'get it' then it looks a bit modern and on trend?
