I watched the new season of Aziz Ansari's Master of None. It was well done, but just so heartbreaking that I can't recommend it.

We're enjoying Season 2 of Lupin on Netflix. Stylish (of course, it's French) and so much fun!

ChewyS, I agree about Master of None. I watched it, but it was tough. I do recommend it for the fine acting, though.

I admit we have't cut the cable yet! Sounds like such good stuff on Netflix,etc.

But I am enjoying the US Olympic trials now, and am seriously looking forward to the Tour de France.

We dont get the same as the US. I have both neon and netflix. On netflix I enjoyed Call my agent (i've raved about that already on anther post), the beautiful lie and deadwind ( a Finnish thriller series).
On Neon, I'm watching the mare of easttown and Rebecka Martinsson (another finish thriller)
@rachylou I'm going to try shadow and bone. I like fantasy sometimes.
I love scandinavian noir..does anyone have any recommendations.?

Currently watching new seasons of Handmaids', Line of Duty, and as soon as those are done, I have Lisey's Story (Stephen King) and final season of Bosch on my list. Mare of Eastside or Eastside or whatever it is was SO good ! Also just completed season one of Mr. Mercedes (Stephen King ) too - not sure I'll bother with seasons 2 and 3. Couldn't get into Ted Lasso. (might be a cultural thing) Also, hockey and basketball playoffs are on:) Go Habs!

Recently Line of Duty and Mare of Easttown (shout out to LisaP)...

Just started Yellowstone - only watched the first episode.

Rewatching Friends with the 16 year old. Some things seem very dated (where is the diversity of course) and some of the humour is off....but the chemisty and timing is still brilliant.

No I haven't......I will look out for it though. I do like a British Crime Series or Scandi one....

I watched Season 1 and 2 of Handmaids - I might be able to cope with more seasons now but I couldn't in 2020.....just too grim. It felt too close to some of the fundamentalist politics we were seeing.

Another good one on Apple+ is The Morning Show with Jennifer Aniston. We also LOVED For All Mankind on Apple+, which is an alternate history of the space race in which the Soviets land on the moon first.

We just finished Lupin Season 2 and loved it.

Started watching Manifest on Netflix last night and it is SUPER bingeable!

We are also loving Brokenwood Mysteries, which is set in New Zealand is is sort of a combination of Columbo and Murder, She Wrote. We're watching it on AcornTV via Amazon Prime.

And yes, Mare of Easttown on HBO is the best thing in a long time.

Been watching The Durrells in Corfu on Amazon(or Netflix?). It's nice and light.

Read an interview with Rose Byrne this weekend, so watched a few episodes of Physical on Apple+ - it's engaging, but difficult subject matter around eating disorders. Has potential, will watch another and decide.

Wish I had HBO for Mare of Easttown. Everyone has raved.

Also loved Mare of Easttown (and OMG the accents and local touches are so on point — I spotted a tee shirt for a club where my stepsons’ band played in Philly a few times). Dark but so well done.

I binged two seasons of the Icelandic mystery/drama Trapped. Tore through the latest season of Handmaid’s (again, sometimes it’s hard to watch but so well done).

I am about to get back into season two of Patriot on Amazon Prime. Dark and sad and funny all at once. An unusual show.

My husband and I have been rewatching Game of Thrones. It’s amazing how much I’m getting from rewatching it! There are so many characters and plot lines that watching it a second time is almost better than there first because some things take on more significance, knowing how the story plays out in the future.

For a light, binge able comedy with several seasons and familiar sitcom tropes with some updated social messaging Superstore is very good. We watched most of it on Netflix then actually bought the last season which isn't streaming in Canada.
On Becoming a God in Central Florida with Kirsten Dunst is something a little different in feel (it's described as dark comedy and absurdist) well worth the watch, although it got cancelled after the first season. Some fun 80s fashion on display. On the other hand I did not enjoy the first episode of Physical on Apple TV, also set in the 80s with some similar themes. It looked like a fun 80s romp but it's very much in the main character's head and it was not a fun place to be due to her eating disorder.

I finally watched (and loved) The Queen’s Gambit. Great fashions, too. DH and I just finished WandaVision, but I think you might enjoy it less if you haven’t watch the Marvel Avengers movies.

We are currently watching Sweet Tooth. So far it is sweetly-weirdly-wacky. I rarely watch current shows but stumbled across this looking for something without explicit sex scenes, as watching the first episode of Fleabag with college-age DD was just too dang awkward.

MsMary, you got me watching For All Mankind. Joel Kinnaman (who I loved in The Killing) AND Michael Dorman (who is in Patriot, which I mentioned above). I especially love how the story turns to the WOMEN, though!
