I like to do my annual wardrobe evaluation in mid-late August, so February is my halfway point, and time to start planning for spring. My August post is here, and I just did a quick count in my tracking app to update. Warning: numbers ahead, but mostly just for reference without much analysis.

Dresses: 8 (4 summer, 3 transitional/cross-season, 1 occasion)
--August Count: 8

Toppers: 14 (2 blazers, 6 cardigans, 3 jackets, 1 poncho, 2 vests, 1 kimono)

--August Count: 16

Outerwear: 3 (2 puffers, 1 trench)
--August Count: new category, not previously counted

Jeans: 3 (1 skinny, 2 cropped boyfriend)
--August Count: 6

Pants: 6 (1 ponte leggings, 1 ponte pants, 1 linen pants, 1 cropped trousers, 1 chinos, 1 utility jogger)
--August Count: 6

Skirts: 5 (1 denim, 1 wrap, 1 wool, 1 midi, 1 lace)

--August Count: 4

Blouses, Shirts, and Pulllovers: 24 (9 long-sleeve, 6 short-sleeve, 5 sleeveless, 4 pullover sweaters)

--August Count: 29

Graphic Tees and Layering Tees: 5 (1 plain tee, 4 graphic tees)
--August Count: 19 - I've changed the way I count these, and am no longer including items that Angie would classify as "basics." These are items used primarily for sleep/lounge. I've also gotten rid of a lot of t-shirts, though.

Shoes: 11 (1 heels, 5 boots/booties, 1 sandals, 1 flats, 1 oxfords, 2 sneakers)
--August Count: 12

Accessories: 15 (1 belt, 3 hats, 11 scarves)
--August Count: new category, not previously counted

Total Main Wardrobe: 94 items August Count: 99

Not exactly a fair comparison, as I've made changes to what I count and the way I count it, but I think it's accurate that my wardrobe is shrinking, as I get rid of chaff and find functional items that replace multiple others. This is especially true when you consider that I'm counting scarves, now, which is a huge category for me!

Full disclosure: I also have about 25 pieces of dedicated athletic/sleep/swimwear, some winter gloves (the cheap, knitted kind, as I tend to lose gloves), a lot of jewelry, many bags (I may have to start counting these next year), and a few costuming pieces.

I'm feeling pretty good about spring/summer. I'd like to add a work-from-home dress and maybe a pair of ballet flats and another pair of Chuck Taylors. Plus, I'll keep my eyes open for statement pieces, since my summer wardrobe has very few. Otherwise, I might just concentrate on updating gear/loungewear, which is looking tired.

Thanks for sticking with me! Adding some app screenshots, just for eye candy and visual reference.
