Hi all

Here are six recent WIW - all for work. The black dress in the first photo is the only piece new to the forum - I bought this second hand in September.

A real mixed bag here and one will not be repeated.

  • New to me black dress with older pieces. I liked this one a lot whilst wearing it.
  • Mustard blazer, rust spot camisole and white jeans. I liked this one a lot too.
  • Pink sweater and dark jeans. I felt very boring in this outfit despite liking the individual pieces. I feel like it is too cool in tone for me and has nothing very interesting about it. I think I needed to wear different jeans here - this was an unseasonally cold day.
  • Grey sweater and black pants, I liked this despite being very simple - it has an energy that the pink and blue does not have.
  • Pink sweater and newly cropped brown linen trousers. I enjoyed wearing this - took a few cm off the hems of the trousers (the trousers are very loose and better in reality than in the photo). Bad hair day though!!
  • Black boat neck with yellow striped skirt - first wear for the spring of this skirt that I added late summer 2019. Enjoyed pulling this out again and matching the red lips to the skirt. I could adjust the top or something I notice here, it looks slightly crooked.

My take away here is that a touch of boldness or at the least energy is important to my outfits to make them feel interesting. Sneakers, shine, colour, pattern all help.

Thanks for looking.
