Whites & creams for sure.
Change out of black/dark footwear for lighter colors - especially nude. But also just more fun on the feet in general.
I start wearing my jean jackets (light blue, medium blue, white) and army jacket.
I steer clear of florals unless it's a black & white floral.
Pastels: instead of pastel pink, I might go with magenta/orchid, i.e., a bright pink, more saturated, less easter egg/nursery colors. When neon was on trend (is it still?) I had fun adding neon versions of pastel, I even bought a tee shirt in a neon pink, and a skirt too! It can be a statement piece like a coat, or a blouse, or something as simple as a scarf, or trim on a clutch, or belt, or shoes. I.e., I generally lean towards small doses, mixed in with neutrals.
That said, blush has been calling my name lately. So bizarre!! It may not be the most flattering color for me, but for some reason it is striking me as a sophisticated, totally grown-up version of baby pink. I have a silk blouse in blush and because it's shiny I think it works, whereas I have an older blush blouse in crepe and because it's matte, I just look like death in it. Meanwhile, I'm strongly considering refreshing my "go-to" bag in blush rather than white this year. So shiny blush, in moderate doses, seems to work.
