Spring Picasso Challenge: Day 3

Although I am a colour girl, I wondered how to create an outfit around this painting (woman with a book) without looking like a clown! Then, Shevia gave me an excellent idea yesterday

She wore a colorful top with fab harem pants. Now I dont have the fab harem pants, but I do have a colorful top that I had completely forgotten about. So here is my rendition of the painting.

I am wearing a color blocked top with skinny boyfriend jeans (Levis/last summer). I added the orange clutch (Ninewest/old) to depict the chair and my shoes are cut work embroidered white and blue flats. I thought the flowers on the shoes worked well with the flowers on the woman's sleeves. Also, I thought my wall played well with the background in the painting.

I wore this for the school run today. So what do you think? I am looking a bit lumpy thanks to the weight gain, but I am working on it and hopefully would be back in shape soon A girl can wish Thanks for looking lovelies x

You're looking divine, Neel! I find the graphic vertical lines on the front of your top very flattering. Great colour choices for the painting. I'm curious after your statement about forgetting you had the top: Are you finding the challenge is putting you back in touch with some items you hadn't worn in a while, sort of giving them a test drive to see if they still belong in your wardrobe? I know I am, and I'm curious if others who are veterans here and more thoughtful than me about wardrobe planning feel the same way.

Very nice! The colours are working perfectly. I'm also struggling with this picture. I can't seem to put all those colours together without looking like I've run through my wardrobe backwards.

When I look at your top I think of Piet Mondrian. I love your use of Picasso's colours to create this fun Neel look. Even the wall in the background relates to the colours in the artwork. Casual, colourful and so cool!
