In the spirit of Picasso, what I really wanted to do as an interpretation of this artwork was not what I see, but what I feel, and that would have been a simple, unadorned, red dress. Unfortunately, I don't have that in my wardrobe, so I went literal. Shades of black, white and grey, with high contrast, complicated jewelry and dark eye makeup. The gradients go from light to dark, starting with my hair and ending with my shoes, but rather than doing it on purpose, it just worked out that way due to what I had to work with. A happy accident, as it were...
