I love this jacket, and it is so cool with the floral skirt! and flattering too.
I can commiserate about potato DDs! ....

I love them all but #1 is my favorite. I have not read the other responses but I do believe you could have returned the jacket to GAP because they (GAP/BR ON) put a tag in all of their clothing telling the year and season the item came out -- even in the outlets. I am not sure if you would have gotten cash back or a store credit but I don't think you would have been stuck.
Having said all that, I don't think you have anything to worry about regarding the jacket being blocky or making you look chunky. I think it's a very chic sharp jacket that will get lots of wear in your wardrobe.

I love the white with this. You look good - is it comfortable? I have found Gap jackets to be all over the place. Some are stiff and others have more give.

These are great, especially with the white jeans and the skirt. I can see this jacket will see a lot of action!

Love all, moto is very edgy, nr 4 took my breath away:-)

Wow.... I love all of these looks!

I don't see a pancake chest at all on this, not even slight. I absolutely love what you did in number 4. Black and navy are so sophisticated! Good work, Beth Ann!

I'm so glad you kept that jacket! It looks fab on you. I especially love it with the white jeans.

Smiling at pancake chest...but just your words because I don't see it!

DayVies: Thanks for the 411 on Gap policies. I remember that the next time I wish to return.

KaryMK and Susie: Pancake chest refers to the subtle squish your bosom get when buttoning or zipping a slightly too small jacket. It creates a bit of a "pigeon breast." Fortunately, this jacket stretched a bit, and it looks OK zipped now. I didn't expect that. Of course, I'll not wear it zippped often, anyway.

Una: This is amazing comfortable, actually. It's lined in cotton in the torso, and rayon acetate in the sleeves. I don't like confining items, so I tend to prefer knit jackets to woven, but I'm happy with the way this feels during the day. I was lucky enough to get it for 40% off, too.

Ha, the potato shoe stretching comparison was too funny!!

Great jacket and I like all the ways you styled it. The classic combo was actually my favorite. YLF!

Wow that's how to wear white jeans. I see what you mean about the second outfit - nothing inherently wrong but as a fan of high contrast I much prefer the first outfit. I really like the jacket and think it fits well - looks good with pants and great with that fab skirt.

Beth Ann you look stunning in this jacket. #4 is my favourite.

This is great on you! #1's colour scheme is very fresh and crisp.

Hey!
Didn't read the other comments, just had to chime in and say how happy I am the shopping gods are working for you... it was obviously meant to be that this jacket didn't go back. It's fab on you! I love all the combos.
