Sporty Sandals with Style?

If anyone can recommend a good, not TOTAL gear type sporty sandal that can stand up to playgrounds and "splash pads," I'm all ears.

Considering the sandal below, either in white (white shoes are in, no? ) or a neutral taupey brown.

The black and white ones are cuter. Have you looked at Crocs sandals or Land's End? I find the crocs durable, comfy and I totally use them as MOTG water/park shoes.

Teva makes some great options for sport sandals. These ones are very durable but fun. They are from MEC in Canada but likely available in other sports stores as well

like glory said teva have great options is really comfty, durable and of course with style... the one that ur showing looks like my baby sandals and he is 2!!! try get converse! you can wash them as many tymes u can if ...not very friendly the sole but u can use a support advesive pad

Are the sandals to be used for hiking? Or is more for active MOTG wear? If the later have you considered saltwater sandals which are waterproof, have rust proof buckles and are leather http://www.mysaltwatersandals.com/ If I lived closer to the beach I would definitely buy a pair.

I was looking at this yesterday. I usually buy Teva flips every year but found that having a back strap takes strain off my feet. I wanted something to hike in or wear with a summer dress. These are gearish, but that is what I need to keep up with my family.

Teva has some cute styles right now. I'm considering the Zirra for my own MOTG activities. From what I can tell, it's a lighter version of a Chaco sandal.

In the past, I've worn Chacos and they hold up well to playground/splash park activities. If anything, they're a bit overkill.

I'd also check out Merrell. Their sandals often look more streamlined than many sporty sandals, if that's important to you.

I echo the thought to take a look at Lands Ends offerings...you can also search on Zappos' "comfort sandals" selections as they have a lot of things that might work for you.

Now: not sandals *and* gear so ignore if desired but honestly I think some water shoe sneakers that drain might work for you. [Columbia makes several styles, the below are on mega-sale from Sierra Trading.]

I have a pair bought for beach wear/hiking through rivers and they are awesome -- breathable, light, and low profile (more like a Puma than a Big Sneaker), and fast-drying. Like Pumas I think they're sporty/cute, and that's coming from a wear-heels-when-not-exercising person.

Try Hoy Saltwater Sandals...I own a pair in red and navy...they last and last and are meant to be in the water:

I know people tout the Salt Water sandals...but as a gal with size 9 1/2 feet with bunions, they just seem like the most unflattering option ever! I want to like them because they're not sporty but the "little girl" vibe is odd to me. I don't know if I could make the retro thing work.

Still on the hunt, will let you guys know what I find!

MPG, my feet are size 9 and I have bunions also. I can attest to the fit and comfort of the Jambu eclipse.
