Well, Angie (and you all) helped so much with the specs search...and on opening my big fat 'Instyle' September 2013 magazine, I discover I'm on trend!
The final choice was a Jeanne Beker collaboration with Fysh that is a tourtoiseshell cat's eye variation with a deeper lens than has been popular recently. (Angie endorsed in round 1!) The deeper lens really helps with the progressives, and whereas I couldn't adapt the last time I tried them 4 years ago, I haven't had these off since I got them.
There is an Anne Klein eyewear ad on page 266 that is very similar in style to the ones I have, as well as the Mosley Tribes pictured with the style set on page 296 of the magazine. Cool!
