Outfit 1: you may remember this blush cardigan from a previous post, when I said I always feel too bulky when wearing it. Turns out it just needed a spring/summer outfit: I felt fab in this combo with a shorter sleeved dress with more exposed skin to balance out the heaviness of the coatigan.

Outfit 2: remixed my new trousers with a black tee and some accessories for the office, then swapped out the top to wear my faux jumpsuit out to dinner with friends (not pictured). Now, the pattern has an ink base, but to my own surprise I don’t own a navy or ink tee. This black one is very comfortable and affordable and also comes in ink: do you think I should get a duplicate? I do look better in ink than black and my matchy side is a bit twitchy wearing black with ink. Otoh, I already own this same tee in two more colors *blushing*.

Bonus pic of my accessories. New pleather cuff, old necklace handmade by a friend. My husband calls it my Wilma Flintstone necklace.

Outfit 3: inspired by my brother’s girlfriend, I wore a short summer dress with black hose and white sneakers. I figured wth, I’m not that much older than her, I can still pull this off J. The result still looks pretty thrown together, but in a cool way, no? Am planning to try this dress later over trousers btw (jeggings).

I don’t always take or post outfit pics, but I feel I am improving. Even if lately I’ve been focused more on building ‘finished’ outfits (working with accessories and picking up accent colors), rather than being overly concerned with my style moniker. That one helps me more when shopping so I don’t lose sight of my overall aspirations.

Feel free to disagree about my self-professed improvement. Any thoughts and comments are welcome!
