I've been trying to snap quick outfit photos even when I don't post them, just so I can do a better job of remembering outfits and how I wore certain items. So I thought I'd post a few recent ones, including today (post hairstylist visit yesterday).

These are just everyday outfits for running errands and working, nothing special. Today's was also worn to a lunch -- albeit a 3-hour lunch with drinks -- with a couple of music friends. Obviously none of us had to go back to work afterwards!

1. Grey leather jacket, grey color block sweater, jeans, turquoise cowboy boots, plus turquoise scarf, grey clutch and grey knitted fingerless gloves.

2. Dark burgundy-ish (raisin?) lightweight sweater plus houndstooth jeans and old black tall boots. Added the colorful scarf and the metallic Coach bag, which I'm really enjoying.

3- From today. Leather-sleeved sweater, straight/skinny jeans, red booties, and red plaid clutch. Also the Kensie coat and a cozy knitted cowl/hood/infinity scarf my husband bought me last year. I also added closer shots of my hair, but it will look totally different tomorrow when I wash it and style it myself -- I can never get it as straight and sleek as my stylist does!

Lately I'm having a bit of fashion fatigue. I got back from TX excited to wear my real clothes again, and I have plenty to wear that I enjoy, but a lot of older things in my closet are not inspiring me. But the interesting thing is, shopping is not inspiring me either! I've tempted fate a couple of times by taking a walk through the stores, and I have seen very little that interests me in the least. So much looks either boring or cheap to me.

I'm just going with it and taking it as a sign that my planned shopping slowdown for next year is coming at a great time. I'm feeling less inclined to chase trends than I have in the last four years, and I'm actually more looking forward to mixing up my existing wardrobe than I am to adding to it. There are a couple of things I might like to add (replacing some of my high-heeled boots with lower, more walkable versions), but I am not in a hurry to do that. I have more than enough to wear in the meantime.
