I haven't posted many WIWs for a lot of reasons, including a photobombing toddler, lack of time, and horrible photo-taking conditions. I've also been held back by some of the things Ornella mentioned in this post. I always dress carefully everyday, but as a stay-mostly-at-home mom to two small kids, life is extremely casual*. Like, kneeling-on-the-bathroom-floor-cleaning-up-preschooler-pee-accidents-level casual. My outfits aren't polished, showstopping or head-turning. But what the heck. I know some of you are in the same boat. And the new photo restrictions make me feel more comfortable showing my 'face' here again. So here are some recent WIWs, including candid shots and a fail. I was happier with some of these outfits than others, and ALL of them looked much better in the mirror than in the photos. I'm not sure if i have an unrealistically fantastic mirror or unrealistically bad photo taking skills!

*I do work part-time outside the home and have a supremely minimal but tenacious evening social life. I wear some of my favourite outfits on those days/nights, but I never seem to manage to photograph them! Like last weekend, when I went to a fashion show with a girlfriend at a local consignment store and wore leather leggings, a chunky oversized sweater, high-heeled ankle booties, a leopard clutch and scarf and a navy peacoat. No photos. Sigh.

Photo 2: Not happy with this outfit--pants look too bunch, shoes look awkward. Same shoes and jacket with skinny mini Gap khakis and striped cowl tee.
Photos 3-4: Beloved Danier leather jacket, Paige skinny cargo pants, Gap mesh-sleeve sweater, Anthro metallic fishscale belt, cognac booties and diaper bag + outfit sans bag and jacket.
Photo 5: Candid at the pumpkin patchw with my family. Same old jacket, skinnies, old shiny black rain boos, leopard scarf (not visible). Bonus preschooler in hot pink and black leopard-print leggings and grey fleece moto jacket that I wish came in adult sizes.
Photo 6: Club Monaco "fancy pants", old belt, grey sweatshirt with silver lurex threads, suede Petty booties. How do you all keep your semi-tucks semi-tucked?! Mine always come un-tucked.
Photo 7: Probably my favourite. Danier jacket, Joe Fresh sweatshirt dress, plaid scarf, leggings, old Frye chocolate brown boots (waving at boot twin Annagybe)
Photo 8-10: Black skinnies, cobalt tee, Danier jacket, leopard scarf, Cognac boots, beloved Rebecca Minkoff blood red bag throwing off the line of my jacket, hence photo #9 sans bag. Photo 10 is the same sans outerwear/bag.
Photo 11: Today. Same black skinnies with grey tee, chunky open cardi from Dress for Success fundraiser sale, black Clarks tall boots. Bonus photobombing toddler. ("Mommy, takee picture toooo?")

Whew! I promise I'll break these up more from now on.
