Some random outfits - YouLookFab Forum

Hi, I'm Carol. It has been awhile since I posted. Thought I'd share some random finds.

The first is a leopard shirt with an interesting pearl collar detail. Just in time for today's blog post, which is about wearing your favorites, no matter whether or not they are in right now. I find I tend to not wear a trend until a few years after it passes. So here that would be the high-buttoned collar that was de rigeur a few years ago. It also reminds me of Joan Crawford in Johnny Guitar, which I just saw.

This is paired with black Calvin Klein jeans and some found winter boots (last picture).

Second is a hanging out outfit from yesterday. Starts with a cocoa lounge dress, then I got cold. Necessity is the mother of invention, and I was bored with my sweaters, so I threw on my boyfriend's Hawaiian shirt. (Then I got colder and added one of my regular sweaters.)

Last is a really cool lightweight zip hoodie that I thrifted. Look carefully at the design--it's an outdoor market scene, probably a foreign country. It stole my heart.

Hi! You have such a fun style. The leopard blouse and pearl collar look fab on you. I didn’t know high collars were a trend, but this one looks amazing on you. Oh and I can’t get over the cool hoodie, what a treasure.

Thank you, ChristelJ! I lucked out finding that leopard shirt--I really don't wear a lot of button downs, and it is the perfect amount of fitted. The hoodie is a keeper, for sure.

Great to see you again, Carol! The pics you posted are very small. If you keep them "actual size" or "large" when you upload them, they will appear larger here and we can see your fab items more easily!

The hoodie looks especially interesting, and the animal print blouse with pearl trim is all sorts of awesome! Please carry on wearing your favourites
