Some politics, some walking and some WIW

So our country still has not got its much hyped and much awaited constitution. Presurrising the government to make one within this deadline that is on 27.05.2012, the people are shutting off transportation, offices, business, schools for indefinite period. While everyone's enjoying the break, we bankers, doctors, police have to attend the respective offices. So that's a 1 hour walk from my home to office.

One hour walk took the breathe out of me. I couldnot be fashionable and comfortable both at the same time.

But then, I took out my most comfortable, softest, boxy white cotton tunic with a asymmetrical hemline (pic 1-4), my GAP jeggings (pic 5) and my most trusted and comfortable converse shoes (pic 6) and finally did walk all the way to my office. My bag that carried my water bottle, wipe tissues, kerchief and my umbrella (pic 7)

I still have to walk back home!!!!!

Oh goodness, a 1 hour walk each way? I'll bet that would be tiring! I think you chose quite wisely to strike a balance between something that would make you feel stylish but also would be comfortable enough for a lot of walking!

I employed a similar strategy several months ago when it snowed, and the roads were pretty covered, and frankly I was too scared to ease my car down the icy, curvy driveway! It took me 40 minutes to walk to work but was actually quite nice. I bundled up and wore leggings or thick tights under dresses or tunics, similar to the warmer weather outfit you wore here. The main concession I made was wearing sturdy galoshes with lots of tread, which normally I wouldn't wear to work at all!

Like the look of this outfit. Good you could be comfy and stylish - kind of a MOTG look but it works. You'll definitely be fit by the end of May if you have to keeping on walking 2 hours per day.

Here's hoping that the Constituent Assembly don't continue to extend the date of the Interim Constitution.

Yes Kiwichik, Hope we get our constitution early. Otherwise I would be left with only bones (I am already skinny now) with two hours walk up down daily.

The tunic is a beautiful print, set off nicely with the plain black jeggings. Hope your political situation improves soon - you must be feeling quite uneasy about it.

I think a little rant about the situation in well deserved! You put a good solution in place to deal with the problem and I think you looked better than if you had tried to fight it in heels and dress or something
