Soft, wide, floaty trousers in action.

Hello lovely ladies, long time no see.

I have been MIA for quite some time for lots of reasons but now have a little time to recharge and rejoin the fashion game. I have missed this place and you more than you could know and feel I have so much to catch up upon.

One of the trends of the season which I have embraced over the past month has been the soft wide trouser which Angie blogged about, I love the ease, the softness and the simplicity of this sale buy and it proved to be my gateway item into the volume on volume look.

I'm not convinced this is the most figure flattering of looks on me, if anything looking at the pictures I think my frame looks a little scrawny but the happiness factor is stratospheric and thats what matters.

As always I would love to hear your thoughts, the good, the bad and the blah.

I think: stunning! You look sophisticated and very beautiful in this silhouette.

ETA: are you tall? You look tall, I think that being tall helps pull off this look. Rather than it overwhelming one's frame, it ads a floaty-feminine quality to tall women.

How ironic (and a sign of your superb style) that one of our northernmost members, who lives in a damp cool climate for most of the year, regularly posts some of the most KILLER summer looks on this forum!! And these are no exception. I adore both looks on you. You carry this off to perfection. #1 in particular wows me. But #2 is equally fab in a more casual way.

Denise, I am quite tall at 5ft 8", I think you are right that height can help to make certain proportions more flattering.

Yes, there is volume but the fabric is light and drapes fluidly, so you have coverage without bulk.
I imagine it's lovely to have the air flow in summer and to have fabric to sit on.
You look very beautiful.
