Sock Styling

Reading Angie’s blog post on socks I knew I had a photo somewhere of a recent outfit when I wore socks with my sandals.

My husband was somewhat bemused lol, the teen said ‘cool’ and these days I just wear what I feel like so I went with it :).

I highly suspect this is not everyone’s cup of tea and I’m not sure I would repeat the sock sandal thing but I might ...I did like it:)

Thanks Jane x. Green has been a new colour in my wardrobe over the past 12 months and I few nice linen pieces in various shades. It functions as a neutral for me xx

I'm with kkards -- I'm not a socks and sandals person (if I'm wearing one, I don't want the other), but when it looks tonal and intentional like this, it overcomes my poison eye. You've got such a knack for styling!

I must have forgotten to hit “submit”. Love the whole outfit. If you have a long red cardigan or duster, it would look very holiday with this green dress. The socks with sandals always look Euro-fashion to me. Yours look cute and intentional. You can do no wrong with styling.

With the full skirt and long sweater the socks and sandals make a great balanced outfit. This works well for you. My feet were so much happier in sandals all summer that I’ve continued wearing them with socks this fall.

You may have missed a long thread earlier this summer about boho. But you epitomize my point and that of several others — it’s not the cut of the garment that defines the look, it’s how the garment is styled. That dress styled by another could be boho, styled by you it’s avant-garde.

The trick to socks and sandals seems to be tonal colors, now to find the right socks to match with my favorite sandals.
