These shoes are almost what I’m looking for, but not quite. And they don’t have them in my size. I need a US 10. These don’t even go to 9 US. https://www.salamander-online......8&;

But they aren’t quite what I want anyway. Yes to good, solid lace-up shoes that I can wear socks with when it gets cold. But no to more black footwear. I believe I have 6 or 7 pairs on their way to me, so more black is really not what I need.

The loafers that I have enjoyed wearing so much over the past year were an experiment, to see if I liked patterned shoes. It was obvious half a year ago that the answer was “yes”, so I got these boots, which I can’t wait to wear when they get here. What I want now are good, solid lace-up shoes in a pattern.

I would absolutely love to find honest-to-goodness brocade, as is available on so many boots these days. Animal patterns, if low-contrast enough, could also scratch this itch. They are on plenty of sandals, high heels, little loafers and other warm weather shoes, but not on the kind of shoes I need. The Doc Martens oxfords don’t quite work, because they announce themselves too loudly. I want interesting shoes, but they also have to be able to fly under the wire.

I’m thinking of flat shoes, but a heel like these Paul Greens have would also work.
