It snowed overnight - some has melted but I think most of it is here to stay now. So, so pretty , and not too wet out .

I'm not feeling myself lately - uncomfortable in my own skin is the best way I think to describe it. Overweight and not in shape, hair not working, skin aging faster than I can do anything about it, and general physical discomfort. Wearing a mask for 8 hours a day is doing a number on my sinuses and I am puffy and congested all day. I'm living on allergy meds to get through the work day . I used to rely on lipstick to brighten and define my face; now - I'm all mask, middle aged hair, and little eyes peeking out. YUCK.

On that note, I have a day off today and errands/groceries to do, so dressing for the weather was key. Nothing special here - just everyday clothes. Pull on black Jag Jeans which forgive my weight, a new striped comfy sweater , lightweight anorak (Angie has this too) from a few years ago that is roomy for layering (it's not the warmest jacket going ) , new Fly London boots for stable/dry/comfy running around, and a new cozy-lined camo print bucket hat for a no-wash hair day. Apple watch, earrings, the ubiquitous mask and a new Baggu olive nylon crossbody bag. Coco Mademoiselle for a pick-me-up . No fragrance permitted at work so I splurge on my days off.

I like what I am wearing, and love this hat as a tuque alternative when it's not too cold. I'm keeping my eyes open for a burgundy or olive felt rancher style hat too.

Even though I know better, I'm joining a 30 day "restore your health" program starting November 1 with a group of women. Nutrition and supplement support mostly . Not a cleanse, but a dialing back of bad habits and restoring some energy and feelings of well-being , hopefully. Kind of at my wits' end.

Thanks for reading my tale of woe - and Carla, this isn't a seasonal wardrobe meltdown At least I have lots of nice clothes to wear.

Commiseration, advice, help, jokes, etc - they are all welcome.
