As was determined in my previous thread http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....nta-blazer I need to shorten the legs on my new slouchy pants. So here are some pics with the legs pinned at two different lengths - my right leg is pinned at one inch shorter and my left leg is pinned at one and half inches shorter. Because there are two tiny pleats about 3 inches from the original hem on the legs, it's almost hard to tell the difference between these two - I need to retain some scrunch not only for aesthetic purposes but also not to interfere with these little pleats. What do you think works better - the longer or shorter version?
Now I will be honest with my YLFers and say when I looked at these photos, I was positively mortified...NOT flattering in the least IMO. However, I'm reminding myself that the camera is shooting at a slight upward angle due to where it sits for my photos and that standing does not show the pants at the their best, which is the fluidity when I move.
Dianthus - would you say that's true? Better IRL?
I like Rae and Una's suggestion of a short fitted jacket with the pants - in the absence of the perfect jacket, I've just popped on my peachy-pink Gap cropped jacket to check out the proportions. What do you think?
I asked my hubby what he thought of these because they are so different and in many ways, not as figure flattering and his comment was "I like them...they're kind of like a sexy MC Hammer".....Suz, I knew you'd get a kick out of that!
ETA: Just realized I cut off the back of my legs in pic #3 so no help at all - sorry for the butt shot for nothing! Actually I'm not sure any of these photos really help...
I've added two new pics - ankle close ups. Pic #6 is the longer version and pic #7 is the shorter version.
