Slew o' shirts - keep or toss? (7 photos)

It's spring break here, and one problem with being a MOTG is that you're always OTG! I did have time to hit Value Village one afternoon with DS though...

These were ll thrifted for very little, so no big investment since I am just venturing into buttondown territory. Nothing is styled, but I'd love advice about which should be worn with pants or skirts, or if they just don't work.

1. Pink and white checked crinkly Foxcroft shirt. Not my colors or style, but hey, if I'm pushing boundaries anyway...

2. Ralph Lauren bright paisley

3. ON shirt - this is an XS! Sizing just confounds me.

4. 80s silk shirt (the brand is LouLou de la Falaise, which rang a bell). I'm a sucker for an oversized 80s shirt.

5. Banded bottom jersey top - I got this to wear with my high-waisted wide leg jeans for that authentic 70s look

6. Black silk short-sleeved embroidered tunic-like shirt - very Indian looking.

7. Denim shirt

As Cileena said, be brutally honest!

I like them all except 3 and 4. (Not being much of an oversized-80s-shirt-lover.) 3 is a pretty color but looks a little big in the torso.

1 and 7 are my faves!

I really love #5 on you! Also #2 seems like a fun item, and #7 will be really versatile.

Thanks, Mary. It's funny you say that about 3 because it's actually the most fitted - maybe it's the weird angle of the photo?

7 is my favorite, followed by 6 and 5, then 2 and 1. Not keen on 3 and 4.

I really like #5 (and wish I could find one similar)!

I like 5 & 7 in particular. Don't care much for 1, but I'm not huge on pink either.

4 reminds me of a rain slicker.

#5 looks like YOU and your personality! Also #7 if you need a denim shirt...the others are not as great but I might vote Yes on #2...it's bright, yes, but a little on the wild side! What a haul!

ETA: My first reaction was to give you a Yes on the vibrant yellow silk top; on closer inspection, I had to give this top a pass but really like this color on you. I was turned off by the dark cuffs...could maybe have handled the collar and placket in black or navy, but the cuffs seemed like too much to me.

Heh. I would totally wear #1.

If #3 fits, you should totally keep it because the color is great on you!

Thanks for liking 6, CL! It is much nicer than this photo - it is silk and very comfortable. I am not big on t-shirts so finding short-sleeved tops for summer is always a pain for me...

I dig 'em all except 4. It just reminds me of men's silk pajamas masquerading as a bowling shirt...

My favorites are 3 and 7. LOVE the color on 3!!

I'm liking 4, 5 & 7 - unfortunately #6 doesn't look flattering to me, and looks a bit dated.

The ones that I like are 2,3,5 and 7. I like the colors of two but I'm not keen on paisley--I didn't realize it was paisley until I read the description. 5 is my fave. 3 and 7 look like good fitting basic tops.

Order of preference, most fab/interesting/distinctive/versatile/Una-esque to least: 5, 3 (love the color on you, esp. for spring--fab for some colorblocking action!), 6, 2, 7, 1, 4.

I like #7, 5, 4 (in that order). 6 and 3 I am curious to see more action shots of, it's hard for me to assess from these photos. 7 will work with pants and skirts, 5 SHOULD work with both but it may depend on the skirt (will look great the way you were thinking of using it though!), and 4 should probably be pants only.

3-Gorgeous color, but not "you"

4-I laughed so hard at the "rain slicker" comment. LOL. Ahem, it doesn't. I agree that it is a fab piece if styled properly. Bust out that leather skirt or your dropped crotch pants--it is tucking time!

5-I like this dolman blouse a lot. Great find.

6-Very cool blouse.

7-YAY!!!! You own a denim shirt! Bust that floral skirt back out and tuck that baby in! You will love owning a denim shirt....I promise.

I like 5,6 and 7. You look so slim in #6 and lucky you to find a great denim shirt.

I'd rule out all but 5 (which looks very you) and 6 due to color.

And if you're still doing a closet clean out and already have a short sleeve black top (not necessarily blouse, just top) I would try 6 with a bunch of things to see if you really need to keep it.

Well, if you are still "up" for opinions ... here are mine (for what they are worth ... not much, LOL). I had these same opinions earlier but didn't post them: 1 is nice but it doesn't seem like you at all (as if I "know" you that well, LOL), 2 is fun and funky which is how I picture you (again, as if I "know" you that well), 3 is a nice color but not so sure you aren't cooler than the actual shirt, I LOVED 4 on you when I first saw it, I think 5 is great, I would love 6 if the bottom wasn't split after the last button and 7 looks like a candidate for future workhorse in your wardrobe.
