I have always thought of skulls to be gothic like or just to be worn durning October for halloween. Skulls have now become a hot commodity when it comes to women's fashion, home decor, and accessories.

when wearing this print you really need to be original and stay true to your style. You can definitely still be fashionable and stylish when wearing a print that might seem edgy or saved for people that only shop at Hot Topic. For me you will see, I try to keep it simple and layer my tops to only show a glimpse of the skull print.

Lovely outfit! I've seen the skulls for a couple of years I think, but I'm not following that train. I can understand that the interest lies in the juxtaposition between feminine and gothi , but it just doesn't appeal to me. It reminds me of clothes where the brand name very visible which I also avoid. On others it is ok

I like your outfit and I will admit I am slowly starting to find myself attracted to the skull trend. I have seen some cute necklaces, but then wondered if they are perhaps a bit juvenile for me?

I used to wear skulls all the time about 5 years ago, but then I got bored and stopped. Now I'm into skulls again, but only if they look like they're a drawing from a 19th century anatomical sketch book. This Topshop scarf is an example of what I mean:

I think your outfit is cool, balanced and interesting.

That said, I am one of those people who do not get skulls as a fashion statement. Never have. Never will. I just find them creepy.

I work with and around skeletons and most bioarch people I would say like to sport skulls -- but I like realistic ones also or tasteful ones!

I love the way you styled this! I am so drawn to the skull patterns, but part of the problem for me is that black/white/grey prints just aren't very nice around my face. Last fall I found a cheap scarf that I love... it's skulls disguised as leopard! All in brown tones, the skulls are very subtly done in brown leopard spots. It functions as leopard print, and no one has ever noticed the skulls, but *I* know they are there and they make me happy.
I saw a quite conservative, 40-something woman dressed in classic neutrals the other day, with grey and white skull scarf. I found it a bit jarring actually. I think your outfit works better because there is some edge to it, but the neutrals keep it from being goth or over-the-top. Nicely done.

I really like your outfit with the sweater layered over the skulls. I have to admit that I've never been drawn to skulls in any way although I can appreciate them on others.

The skull trend has been big for a number of years and is actually dying down a bit now. It mostly started with McQueen and his skull scarves, which have been widely copied. I like skull scarves and/or accents, but I prefer to stick to McQueen.

i wear skull a lot since i can remember but not because im a emo, scene, goth ...nah i just love them i try to incorporte skull like watch/ bracalet, earings, etc... sometimes it screams to goth so i switch to the sugar candy skull type from mexico ...it tends to not come strong! or for a kool option rock n roll ones ...that sell in Melrose Ave in Los Angeles

I think you look just fantastic, love the skulls peeking out at the bottom. I'm often drawn to the look of a skull print, yet don't year it often. Worry it may traumatize my kids, or that they would decide they want to wear it themselves. I have a couple Alexander McQueen scarves that I love, and a pair of his shoes with skull zipper pulls.

Great outfit. I don't mind skulls. I don't actively seek them out but if one jumped at me I wouldn't hesitate to purchase or wear.

I have considered skulls but can't pull the trigger. I think I'm more of a unicorns and puppies kind of gal, and skulls, though I am drawn to them, especially Dia de los Muertos, just creep me out. I am still not comfortable saying this, because the fantasy me is more resilient and fearless. But for the real me, skulls just bring me down.

I do like this outfit on you, though, and skulls on others. There is some interesting psychology here, if I take the time to figure myself out. ;~)

Nicole, this is the most amazing take on the jolly roger I have ever seen. I don't know how to put this, but you look like a stylish, nice girl. Lol. I mean, I have my skull scarf, but I have basically always been a punk out of uniform. A little lazy on my part quite frankly.
