Skinnies for pears?

I saw on another thread that some of you pears have found flattering skinnies. May I ask where you found them? What brands do you like?

I consider myself an ultra pear, so I figured it was a look I just couldn't do, but hey, I'm feeling adventurous and am willing to try about anything right now.

Also, how do you usually wear them?

I'm an ultra pear too. I'm in the UK so get my skinnies from the Limited Collection at Marks and Spencer x

David Kahn is great for pears. Nordstrom sells them online.

My first pair was from Old Navy. I still wear it. If you want to try the look without investing a lot of money (which was may plan), it may be the way to go.

This is the one that I have:

It is fairly low rise but Old Navy has different rises in various silhouettes.

A ha! Thanks for the links, Inge. I thought I'd seen a thread about them earlier, but I don't think I paid attention because I was still too chicken to even THINK about trying skinnies.

And thanks for the recommendations, it's so nice to know what works for others. When I find something that works I always call my sister to report what brands I think will fit her too.

I have two pair currently. Black Banana Republic skinnies, and a soft grey by J Brand. I had the Gap ones but they are too big now. Those fit me pretty well although the rise is a bit lower than I prefer.
