Skinnies and straight legs, although scarce on the catwalks, continue to rule street fashion because the silhouette is VERY practical. This makes perfect sense. Retail will continue to supply the style - both in tailored and relaxed cuts - in great abundance because it sells very well. At the end of the day, retail is all about making a profit and that's that.

Remember that we, the consumers, have the power to keep a trend going off the catwalks, as is clearly illustrated with skinnies and straight legs.
