New Proportions (Inspired by): With Slim Leg Crops

This navy lace layered top is a lot like what Angie showed in her blog posting. It’s a simple vneck tank with a straight hem, and two
lace overlay pieces that wrap around each side and “meet” in the front and back. I tried to show the construction in some of these photos. Structurally not exactly like the top she showed but similar, I think. I have been thinking about whether to K/R it but thanks to this posting I'm convinced it's a keeper.

Worn with slim white jeans, then with slim white crops. I'm not a fan of flared crops on me, and I'm find with that. I tried a few different sandals, and a jacket. The top is a bright navy…not quite cobalt but not ink either.

anne you are right, the outfit overall is more conventional proportions than Angie's posting, but this blue top has some shape similarities to the one she showed and I think works in the outfit in similar ways.

Yes Angie I went into total copycat lemming mode and got those sandals, in 6.5 N which seems perfect. I have had a few pair of huaraches in the past and always loved them. The straps will stretch just a bit but the M was already too loose. We seem to be Naturalizer fit twins too! I can easily adjust the length of those cropped pants, will do so.

Suz great point about that top acting as a third piece...yes it's that distinctive.

I like this, but I have a very similar bright navy piece. I wear mine over a navy tank with black bottoms. I like that it is cool but somewhat covered for hot days and adds interest (a third piece ) to a simple summer outfit. You have inspired me to try it with white jeans. That may be my July 4th outfit with red flats and bag, depending on the weather.
