So I gave Una's 5 silhouette work week challenge a go last week, along with a new photo location. (How embarrassing is it that we moved in June and we still have boxes in our spare room?)

1/2: Monday - knit dress with scarf and optional jacket. I felt better in this than I think it translated onto film (well, pixels). This is a bit of a waist-surrendering sweater dress, which I normally wear with tights and boots - maybe that works better proportion-wise?

3: Tuesday - Skinnies, boots and a sweater. It was rainy and stormy so the rain boots were a must, which lead to the skinnies. This is actually version 2 of the outfit; I started with a different sweater which turned out to be too short to wear with these jeans, and I was constantly yanking down the sweater hem and pulling up my pants. Not a good vibe. Second sweater was functionally long enough but I still don't think these proportions look good.

4/5: Wednesday: Bootcuts and a sweater with a big scarf worn as a shawl. Still rainy. I don't think turtlenecks are that flattering on me, but sometimes you're cold, ya know? (I did put shoes on before leaving the house, I promise.)

6: Thursday: bootcuts, knit tee and cardigan. My favorite silhouette ever! Probably the silhouette I've worn most over my adult lifetime, too. Usually I buy only v-neck cardigans; this was a hand-me-down from my mom. I'm not sure I'm going to keep it as candy pink and bling are not really my style.

7/8: Friday: straight-leg jeans, button-front shirt and longer cardigan. This was an attempt to recreate this look from Capital Hill Style: Soft, Pretty Neutrals. I'm not sure I completely pulled it off - my shirt had more dark colors in it than the inspiration, and IRL the silver shoes looked odd with the warm-toned cream of the cardigan. I actually only wore this outfit for a few hours on Friday, since I was mostly in my grungies cleaning the house, so I pulled it out again and wore it today, with my nude pointy-toed flats, which I think looked more cohesive.

As always, feedback including constructive criticism is welcome.
