I absolutely adore everyone's okalas, with the on-trend combo of pointy toe and ankle strap. But I just can't do a narrow pointy heel due to my wobbly ankles. So I am on the hunt for an ankle-friendly version. My ideal pair would have a low, not-to-narrow wedge heel, and be available on Zappos or (even better) in Canada.

But I am opening this thread to all versions of pointy-toed ankle strap shoes - flats, heels, wedges, bring 'em on! With links please

I bought them more as pretty sitting shoes. Pointy toes are not my best friends as I found out ... But I can wear them for walking for about 2 hours, when looking pretty is my priority. I am not sure if a more expensive leather version might help my feet. Hmmm ....

Can you wear flat flats? I have the Okalas and love them, but usually wear flats to work b/c I walk more than a mile and it's tough on heels.

I bought these as a low cost entry into ankle strap d'orsay flats a few weeks ago.

They have already become a workhorse b/c they completely upped my
style quotiont vs. my standard black flats or low heeled booties. So I just bought these to be a summer black flat alternative but haven't tried them yet.

Thanks ATLynn! I would definitely consider a flat, especially one with such stylish details (colour block and animal print, oh my!). I do already have a cheapie ON pair. But I find the ankle strap a bit stumpifying on me in a flat, so my fantasy pair does a have a heel - to wear with shorter ankle pants, rolled BFs etc but still get a flattering leg line.

I love my grey Pour la Victoire ankle strap wedges. I didn't post a link before because I got them at a very good discount on ShopBop, where I think they were the last pair (I couldn't find them again when I looked.) I haven't worn them outside yet, because it's too cold, but my local boutique owner told me to try my new boyfriend jeans with wedges and a boho print top, and it looks good to me. I think they can also go with suits and dresses.

I'm not usually keen on ankle straps because they make me look shorter than I would like. I am going to try the famed Okalas though. On the samedelman.com website they have a two toned pair (ivory and nude). I had been looking for white pumps, and have sent back a couple of pairs that just had too much of an 80s vibe for me. I am hoping the ivory toe on these might hit that light color idea without making me feel like Sheena Easton.
