Pls share your spring shoe purchases

I have for as long as I can remember struggled with selecting and buying shoes. Footwear is the weakest link in my wardrobe. That's why I usually pay close attention to Angie's recommendations and what you fab ladies are buying each season. I'm feeling rather uninspired, so please share details/pics of the shoes you've bought or are planning to buy for spring/summer and how you intend to style them.

Oh, I forgot to add that I've already made one spring/summer shoe purchase. I bought these pointy-toe ankle strap flats. They weren't really a planned buy. I already owned them in raspberry and when I saw the navy on deep discount, I snatched 'em up. I plan to wear them with my skirts and dresses.

Those are cute flats, what is the brand? I have similar from Old Navy but of course already falling apart.
I've purchased rose gold converse, pale grey gap oxfords (not online anymore in that colour), and am contemplating some ankle strap low wedges from Nine West for something dressier. Oh, and I finally found my perfect Hunter boots I believe (they are waiting for me at an American friend's address)- but that is probably not what you have in mind

Oh boy, I have bought several shoes! I'm revamping my wardrobe for spring/summer out of necessity (sizing), and decided to revamp my shoes, too.

Here are a few threads I started with pics of the shoes:
ankle strap sandals -- can't wait to wear these!
slip-on snakeskin shoes -- I returned the white pair, but wore the snakeskin pair yesterday to go out as soon as I took them out of the UPS box, LOL!
other pairs -- I regularly wear the neutral driving moc; they became an instant fave! I'm looking forward to wearing the fun orange pair.

Let's see . . . sandals, slip ons, and peep toe booties on the way. Will have to choose between 3 and 4, provided the heel height is doable.

And I may cave and try on some Vans or similar slip on sneaker in a cool pattern.

Great thread and I am excited to see what people are adding to their spring/summer wardrobes. I am thinking about adding 2 sandals but nothing decided yet because there is still too much snow on the ground and it hasn't put me in the mood. I am considering a birkenstock or a look alike and then something a bit more refine in silver or metallic.

Jules, I love those oxfords you linked to! The rose gold Cons are super cool, too! I'm contemplating another pair of Cons, but I have enough sneakers. The flats I posted are the ON ones. Gee, I hope they don't start to fall apart like yours. I swore off ON's shoes years ago after a pair gave me awful blisters. I'm trying to give the store a second chance.

Thanks for the links, pastrygirl. I like the Okala pumps. Unfortunately the heel is too high for me. Your nude sandals remind me of a gold sandal I had on my wishlist at the beginning of the season. I can see that those will be very versatile. I must have missed your thread with the slip-ons. Glad you kept the snakeskin- they were my favorite of the two. Phooey- the comfort maven is out of stock!

Claudia, those oxfords! LOVE! I originally had oxfords on my fall shopping list, but you've convinced me that I need to look for a pair for spring/summer.

Mo, I remember your thread with that first shoe- love it! What will you wear with that second pair? I have something similar on a wishlist, but haven't pulled the trigger because I'm not convinced that I'll wear them. Crazy about #3. I hope the heel isn't too high and it's comfy.

Glory, I'm on the lookout for sandals, too. I've had a pair of gold gladiator sandals in an online shopping cart for at least a month. I haven't bought them yet because I don't think I have anything to wear them with.

I have added a couple of pairs of T-strap flat sandals to refresh my summer shoe wardrobe. My favorites are the Sam Edelman Gigis. They are the only sandal I can count on not to look stupid on my foot, and they go with everything; jeans, clams, shorts, casual dresses and skirts.

PS Pre-Okalas, I would have said "I can't wear heels" at all. They are the only heels I own, and I swear they feel more like a two inch heel. If you can at least try them on, you may be pleasantly surprised.

1. The Jeffrey Campbell Deetz flats, inspired by cceile! -- although I actually bought them in the fall, too late to get in any wear before now. I think I'll finally be able to break them out later this week! They will probably be styled with rolled straight leg or BF jeans. Could be fun peeking out of bootcuts too, as pointy-toe flats.

2. Cobalt blue BCBGeneration wedge ankle straps from Nordstrom Rack - an bargain impulse purchase that I think I'll enjoy for dressing up boyfriend jeans. They'll be nice with skirts and dresses for a little more dressed up look. Probably not destined to be workhorses but fun.

3. Via Spiga snakeskin pattern slip-on sneakers. Team Wear! I wore these for a full day as soon as I returned from traveling and we had a warm no-boots day. I wore them with BFs, a tee, and leather jacket. They will also get worn with casual crop pants and shorts this summer. Soooooo comfy!

I just switched out my tall boots for summer shoes in my closet, so I was able to take stock over the weekend. I think I'm due for a new pair of neutral casual sandals with a walkable but flattering heel/wedge. Some of my old ones are starting to feel a little stale.

Claire, I like the simplicity of the Gigi. Those might be a good replacement for my strappy heeled sandals in a similar color. Wondering if I can get to Nordstrom to try on the Okalas...

Janet, that first pair is sooo cool! They look iridescent. That wedge pump is just the style of shoe I need to dress up my BF jeans. Off to search Google for something visually similar. I like the snake print slip-ons, too.

Von, your recent outfit posts featuring those oxfords were among the first to make me think I needed to buy a pair for spring and not wait until fall.

I desperately need to renew my sandal capsule so I just ordered two pairs so haven't tried them on yet. Warning; I have problem feet so comfort shoes ahead. I am also considering a pair of Birks in a fun color since I already wear them around the house.

1 - Ordered SE nude sandals. These are the more refined pair of the four.
2 - New to me brand, Think!, I wore my other red sandals similar to this into the ground.
3 - Silver Birks (or gold or white, can't decide)

I bought some Cole Haan black heels - http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....-revisited - not particularly springlike but useful. I also have an order in at Splendid for a couple pairs of sandals - I need a new pair of 'everyday but not black' sandals so I am hoping one of them will be the one.

Other than that I thrifted a pair of brown flats which are providing very useful and let me donate my nude ballet flats which were past their prime. I am still looking for oxfords - literally have been looking for the right pair for years now. And I am very interested in the idea of wedge peeptoes from either Talbots or Lands End, although I can't find them on Lands End right now to leave a link.

Janet, what is the heel height on the wedge pump? All it says on the website I found is "medium heel height."

Jules, what size do you wear? I may have found Janet's exact shoe, but it's sold out in most sizes.

AviaMariah, I like your sandal choices. I love strappy sandals like that nude pair, and the red ones look comfy and fun. Silver Birks?! Don't think I've ever seen them in silver...how fun is that!

Jewell, they're a little lower than the Okalas -- about 2.75". They felt pretty darn comfortable in the store and trying on around the house. If I debut them this week, I'll report in more detail on comfort!

Laura, I am quite tempted by the peony pink version of the wedge you linked to. I'd better sleep on it, though. I'm drawn to just about everything pink, and I forget at times that I have so little to go with it.

I'm a size 8, but I don't know if that exact pair is right for me either - too high, plus I already have a lot of blue shoes, as my 8 year old DD finally pointed out to me

Jewell, the second pair have been worn with skinny jeans and with shorts, and on the plane home from Tahoe with BF jeans (best airplane shoes ever). They were more a practical than style purchase, and at $6 I couldn't pass them up. I'd been looking for them in black actually for some time, since seeing them on 2 of my fellow waitresses last summer, but nude corduroy works for me, too.

Thanks, Mo! I could definitely see the shoes I have in mind working with shorts and some of my skinnies. A $6 price tag would certainly seal the deal! I may just go ahead and get them. If I wear them half as much as the pair I wore out before them, I'll have the CPW down in no time.

My 2014 shoe purchases so far may not all be super springy, but they will be in spring rotation as weather permits.

1. Bella Vita suede oxfords in gray with silver trim (the print on the silver sections is actually glen plaid [!], not the snake it resembles somewhat. Plus, the stitching and patches remind me of maps!) I am so not an oxfords person--discovered today with Angie's post what is probably one reason I don't like tie-ons. But these are sort of like casual oxfords and dressy slip-on sneakers at the same time. They work best with jeans, both skinny and boot/flare, as long as the lengths are right.

2. Clarks rust suede bootlets. Amazingly cushy. Some of the easiest heels ever. These are for all jeans, plus skirts/dresses.

3. Anthracite metallic Papillios (a Birkenstock-based offshoot that apparently went independent in 2006). Much better-proportioned straps for my US size 6 (sometimes 5.5) feet than those on Arizonas. I'll wear these mainly with skinnies and skirts/dresses that can handle the visual weight.

Theme so far: fave colors silver and orange!

(There's nothing really dressy here because I have more than enough dressy. I need walkable. And so, hmm, these may all be comfort-shoe brands. I am OK with that! LOL.)

Wow, this is amazing!! It's so much fun to see what everyone is purchasing.

I note a lot of sandals with that toe thong thingie. I can't bear those. I mean...I love the look of them. But they hurt me to wear. That's where my feet get extra fussy.

Jules, I am positively DROOLING over the Cons and the Oxfords, in both colours! Did you get the lemon? Have you worn them? Are they comfortable?

Claudia, I can't decide which pair of your shoes I want more!

It looks like everyone is picking a nice variety.

I'm in Glory's position -- our back yard is still full of snow, so it is difficult to get into a mindset of spring footwear. But I did pick up a pair of the Okalas on sale during the winter (and saved them for spring) and I also just bought these cage sandals. Mine are in the light grey. And what you can't see is that they actually have a snakeskin strap in the back. The heel looks high but feels extremely stable and well balanced, almost like wearing a wedge. As Angie would say, "Read the rave reviews." Vicki has them, too.

I could use a new pair of more casual sandals as well with a low heel, and I would also like some oxfords and a white shoe or sandal of some description.

My only shoe purchase is a wild card. It doesn't get that warm here and I have plenty of sandals. I plan on pairing with BF shorts, dresses and boot-cut jeans.
