How fun to see everyone's choices. I've only purchased one so far.

Well, just this morning I pulled the trigger on two sandals that are candidates to replace an old pair of Born nude wedge sandals that I got for a steal at Nordstrom Rack -- I have worn them to death and they are just not looking very fresh to me anymore. Here are the two I'm trying:

LDTuttles in the nude color:

Matt Bernson in rose gold:

I LOVE my Tuttles, so even though the Tuttles are expensive, if they are as comfortable and versatile as my black ones, I don't mind the expense because the CPW will be low in no time. I have no experience with Matt Bernson but I love the style and the color, so we'll see.

This spring, I have added the following to my shoe wardrobe:

1. Jeffrey Campbell Everly

2. Dolce Vita Ollie

3. Cole Haan Sabrina black patent smoking slipper

Would you care to know how many styles were returned? More than I can count...

Thank you all for looking up those links for Unmilla's shoes!

And wow, I do love everyone's choices!

I love this thread!

Here are mine so far:

I just received and tried on the Steve Madden Nonstp booties. Alas, they hit my toe in the wrong place at the peep, and are too wide on my skinny heels. Not the super comfortable shoe everyone else

So I'm still on the lookout for a "very 2014" peeptoe or cutout bootie or sandal that will modernize my wardrobe and be appropriate in my smart casual office this summer. Preferably with a mid heel that doesn't look frumpy.

So far, I've purchased only these:

I want a pair of metallic silver shoes, but I'm not sure what type of style yet. And I want a pair of red shoes. But I don't know yet if I want flats or heels or what. I have to wait until my inner muse reveals it to me. :^)

Susie, I realllly like that caged sandal! Too bad I can't do that high of a heel. And the Bass loafer is on sale in my size- the temptation! Awesome bronze mules and LOL @ Hubby's dominatrix comment.

Denise, I saw your thread shortly after starting this one. I laughed at how kitty helped you choose a pair of booties. I envy your luck in finding not one but three pairs that look good on you. Shopping for boots/booties usually depresses me because they never fit right.

Thumbs up to the silver Birks, Alicat!

Great color choice, Lisa! I imagine you'll get lots of wear out of that wedge pump.

Gosh, I love both of those sandals, Janet! I'm crazy for shoes with ankle straps right now. That rose gold sandal is a stunner.

Great picks, April- three pairs of really cool shoes! I just added the Ollie to my Amazon wish list

ATLynn, I see we have similar tastes. Two of your purchases are on my wish list. I have the Steven Elina in white multi open in my browser right now. I've been mulling it over all day.

pil, those lilac loafers are all kinds of gorgeous! I'm glad you posted your studded flat. I missed out on a studded ballet flat last year and this is an upscaled version of the one I wanted.

Gigi, I want to reach through the screen and touch that shoe. I love the pattern (sugar eye for leopard print) and the texture.

I'm finally feeling well enough to get together and photograph recent purchases. I really needed to do this to try to evaluate where I am, so thank you for this thread. This spring I am trying for sandal alternatives, although I plan to wear the ones I have. In reality, it may just be too hot not to wear sandals. I hope that cut outs and d'Orsey style may still be cool enough.
My other goal is to start replacing small kitten heel pumps because old ones, all bought about the same time several years ago, have become uncomfortable.
None of the pairs pictured has been worn out yet...too cold. The light grey patent pumps may be going back. Your thoughts on K/R on any of these are welcomed.

Wow, Joy, you've done well! I like all of your choices. I too wonder about heat and the d'orsay style - there are times in our not really that hot summer that I still can't stand wearing ballet flats and its sandals or nothing. I like the patent grey too but you might want to think about what outfits you can wear it with and whether it makes sense with your wardrobe. Based n what I've seen of your pics I'd think it'd fit right in.

While we're all talking about shoes, has anyone seen the following: a flat or nearly flat gladiator sandal in nude or a light neutral that's not gold that doesn't have a lot of metal or bling on it? All I really want is a light colored version of the black Borns I bought at Nordstrom last summer but I've been looking ever since the weather turned and nothing's been quite right.

Joy, you have some fab variety. Lovin' the sandals and all the pointy-toed flats. What color are the patent pumps? They are the only ones standing out as potential returns. It would depend on how much you have to wear with them.

Momo, that Circus Hayden is one cool shoe. Love the details on the Cardonna, and I just did a search and see that they come in red. I might have to think about those.

Laura, here is a link to the gladiator sandal that's been on my wish list for months. I want the gold, but it's available in Cognac. I first saw them on Zappos and later on Amazon, so it's worth comparing prices if you like them.

I love seeing all the cute, pointed shoes & I enjoy living a bit vicariously here! as I think my days of pointed shoes are over (for now)

My shoe shopping this spring has been very specific--I will be in Europe this summer teaching/traveling/ and my #1 Priority is comfortable, walking sandals that my super fussy feet can handle, (for plantar fasciitis and sensitive soles) I have returned so, so many.........I wanted something that is a little pretty/metallic, and an alternate. And I will also have to have some sneakers, aka "man-repeller" Nike! at least they are fashionably trendy right now & Ill be rocking them with my LBD if I have to!

Laura, you might look at Ecco they have several gladiator sandals that might be what you are looking for.

Aetrex Alyssa
Birkenstock Kairo
Ecco Flash
Birkenstock Milano
Ariat Billy
Nike Pegasus

Thanks for that possibility, Jewell. If they truly do run one size too small, I am out of luck (I'm a size 10), but it might be worth trying.

rebekahphoto, I think you have a great selection here. You managed to find several shoes that are comfortable and stylish. Have you worn the boots yet? Are they comfy? I love the deep red color.

Joy, those D'orsay flats look beautiful! I adore the black and white pair, may I ask what it is?

Bloch ballet flats in raspberry pink
Cole Haan Gilmore flats in pewter
Sam Edelman Trinas in silver
Steve Madden Nonstp in black
Zara leather sneaker

The first two are less on trend but more practical and much needed. The last three are the ones I can't wait to wear.

I can see why you can't wait to wear them, Ariadne. I love all three! The Zara sneaker is especially cool. Every time I'm in a store and see a shoe similar to #3, I pick it up and lament the fact that I can't wear that heel to work.
