Hot. Just looks perfect on you , Una.

It's awesome! I've always wanted to do this but it won't take on dark hair, and I'm unwilling to let bleach near my hair.

You are gorgeous. That's the most elegant color dye look I've ever seen.

Cheering madly!!!!

Loving that, it is so subtle.

Looks awesome Una! Like a softer, navy version of your growout -- which I really loved at the half-and-half stage (also which I saw in person and can verify was amazing looking).

Thank you, ladies! I just realized I'm now the colors of a magpie (a very Alaskan bird!). The color is subtle but almost iridescent.

Diana, this is not bleached, just over my natural color. We have similar hair so it might be worth a try! I did sit under a heater for about 20 minutes.

How fab is this!! So cool!

You are a very hip magpie!

Woohoo! It looks absolutely ace! And now there's a benefit to grey that I never thought of: it's drier so will absorb the colour better. Hmmmm...

Very subtle, very proper still

It looks gorgeous!

Aahhh! Gorgeous! You look amazing.

Perfect! I love it.

My boyfriend did this recently and it's great on him, too. His hair's just below his shoulders. He's starting to turn grey fairly noticeably, and I think the blue looks really great against the grey (on both of you). Now I'm excited to see what his hair looks like in a few years with more grey.

It looks FAB!! Does Hubs and DS like it?

AJ, DH didn't even NOTICE! I did want it to be subtle - it shows up way more in natural light than under indoor light, which makes it more work appropriate. All at work approved it.

wow - what a tremendous success in every single way! It's elegant, it's sexy, it's work-appropriate. Wear it in fabulous good health and happiness.

Thank you again for all the kind comments! I have to say, I wish I'd done this during the grow-out phase. It looks so much more deliberate to have a funky color at the bottom of my hair. It's pretty subtle, and looks a lot like a bird's feathers. I'm thinking I may add in some emerald green next time for even more of a magpie look. In the light at work, it's not even noticeable, which is good.

LOVE! Happy Bday Una! I'm sure it's gonna be a fab bday

It looks wonderful. Maybe I should try it.

Just fabulous. I always love your hair.

Love it! Want it!

My hair isn't grey at all, but dark brown not black. Would the blue streak I want show up without bleaching?

Peri, I'm sure it would if your stylist knew what they were doing. My hair is very color resistant and did not dye. It may be more subtle without bleaching, but my stylist also said it will last longer that way.
