A super fun way to celebrate a milestone birthday (I celebrated mine by getting a tattoo). And Happy Birthday Una!

Well this is just fabulous!

Wow, I love this! One cool bird indeed!

How the heck did I MISS this?????

GREAT idea, and belated birthday greetings!! Y

Aw thanks Suz! My birthday is not till next month, so you are way ahead!

I like this much more than I'd expected to. what a cool way to do blue hair! I would like to do mine, if it is available, pearlized ivory or metallic silver.

I have been thinking about this for ages and I am going to do it. Hopefully it will be temporary but if not it's ok. I have a grey streak in the front that I want to dye turquoise.

If I saw this, I would have been part of the chorus singing YES! I bet this looks fab on you! Where are the pictures???

I'm so happy it turned out so well, and just in time for your trip. Will the color work okay with the yellow dresses you showed before?

Wow, gorgeous!:-)

YES! This is how to do grey hair in 2016--modern, hip, and utterly fabulous! I'm showing your picture, Una, to anyone who hesitates to move away from the dye bottle because grey hair is "aging", or makes a woman "invisible".

Aw, Gaylene! You made the 100th post! I am flattered and humbled by everyone's comments. Honestly, I've gotten more lovely comments (mostly women, of course) IRL on the grey than any other color I've had. I hope the blue ends send exactly the message you're describing - I'm proud of my age and I'm not going to let it define me. And coloring the ends is so much easier. No roots!

And please please please, Bonnie, Thirkellgirl, Joy and others, come join me on this campaign!

Total fail in photos, but I can see it enough in person to know I want to do it with something a little riskier than, um, easter egg dye (which didn't take at all, go figure) and a turquoise magic marker. What you said in your last post is exactly what I think - I'm proud of my age and I'm not going to let it define me. I never did stuff like this when I was younger. My husband said "I know you like aqua but not that much" when I texted him the photos above, and I replied "trust me, you do not want to tell me NOT to do this."
