Sorry, I got you confused because I don't use the words right.
By "culottes" I mean the jupe-culottes of my childhood : wide, around the knee length. I like them.
By "wide legged cropped" I mean : wide and longer, from mid-calf to ankle. I like them on others when they are made of fluid fabric. I find them overwhelming on me but I don't say never.
I don't like them made of stiff fabric, esp not if the part from knee to ankle is very flared. In stiff fabric, the more straight and streamlined they are, the better they look in my eyes.
@ Smittie, Jane, Emily k : thanks for helping me with the colour combos, I think you're right about the contrast with navy against blush and the last colour coordination.
@ Smittie : thanks for weighing in on tuck vs untucked, being short-waisted I always have doubt about that.
@ Emily k : I'd better not get creative with my clothes, it usually ends up in disaster It's quite a miracle I didn't ruin my jeans today.
@ Shevia : well, no, the roll is really bulky, I'd have to hack higher to make shorts out of them. Yes, the floral shirt is a prize, they don't make them anymore and the cotton is really stellar quality.
