Shorten? - YouLookFab Forum

Angie's post on her awesome Wit & Wisdom pants reminded me that I have a similar pair from Talbots that I bought years ago but always had trouble styling. They are so comfortable that I couldn't part with it. I think my problem was that I was trying to style it in a professional business look, when that is not really me and I don't have a professional office to go to. : )
So seeing Angie style hers in a dressy casual way, got my fashion senses tingling!
1) Here's the monochromatic brown outfit. I dressed it down with an oversized sweatshirt, but added accessories to give it a little umph.
2) The current length is just right for the heel. I was not stepping on the hem at all. But does the break in the front look sloppy?
3) Should I have it hemmed so that the heel shows?

The break looks fine to me, but then I thought of ‘the new shorter hem’ Angie has mentioned and I realise I don’t know where we’re at anymore with pant length…

AJ personally I’m not keen on the “break” in front, I am such a shoe person I really want the shoe to be seen, so I would be shortening these a little. But it is very much a personal preference. Hopefully Angie might comment.

These are great! I love your easy styling of them too.

I love the length as is. But I very much dislike the feeling that my pants are slightly too short (long leg girl problems), so the “newer full length” is not my personal favorite. Just my individual perspective. Unless they are actually dragging on the ground, I always prefer a little extra length — especially if I want to wear the pants with a little higher heel or a substantial soled shoe like a platform sneaker. I’d just consider all your footwear options before hemming.

Looks great, those are very low heels, so not a trip and drag problem.

I am typically a longer length girl as reflected by Janet.
However, I think that little bit of heel peeking out is pretty cute.

Great pants! I think I'd like them with a slightly higher heel- less break, but they're fine as is too.

I would consider all the shoe possibilities before making a decision on length. Would you ever wear these with flats? That would make a big difference.
