Hello! Longtime lurker here. For some reason I am obsessed with linen dresses this summer. I found a really cute one at J Crew but it's pretty short but the problem is there is a split hem. They actually call it a 'beach shirt'. I was wondering if it's acceptable for older women, I am 56, to wear short bike shorts underneath? If so, what color? I was thinking either white or a fun pattern or color to look intentional. What do you think ladies? I attached the photo of the one I am interested in.
