Sundance was so much fun! The kid- free time with my sister was priceless, and seeing her be recognized for all her work and talent made me want to burst with pride. I met Bradley Cooper at dinner, and spent some time orbiting around Robert DeNiro, but the press was really aggressive and made his life miserable so he left early. We saw lots of great films too. The best feature we saw was "Hellion" with Aaron Paul, who was there for the Q & A and is adorable. The best doc was "the Case Against 8" which documented the legal battle around Prop 8 in CA and showed the process of picking the plaintiffs, strategizing the arguments and all the inside details that were fascinating.

In terms of fashion, it was lots of skinnies and boots and furry vests and beanies. My sister got a kick out of my ability to identify every brand of boots we saw. The weather was warm, and I mostly wore the Gidigios out and about. I did not ever wear the dress or the gold leather skirt! I wore the leather skinnies to the Game of Thrones party with the fur vest. We saw lots of outrageous looks at the parties (one guy in a full length red shag coat, someone else with antlers), but otherwise it was all quite casual. My sister got a free beautiful red Canada Goose down jacket from Sundance which they gave to all the directors - I wanted to steal it!

I will say that I am now on the half-hearted hunt for a shaggy black furry vest in a longer length, which seemed to be the most diverse style I saw on the street. I may return the gold skirt which still has the tags on.

Now for the lethargy... I came back and found myself worn out in a weird way, not so much with fashion, but with shopping. I am feeling really tired of looking for things that seem impossible to find. Like the perfect furry vest (the Bebe one proved too bulky) or the right harem pants or chunky sweater. I know it's not possible, but I just wish I could find what I want without the endless searching and energy expended. And that has made me feel it's just easier to give up on the HEWIs rather than struggle to find them, even when they would be truly useful.

Anyone else feel this way? I know there have been posts about it!
