Sounds so wonderful! Coincidentally I have also spent the past week with my sister so I will come at this from a different perspective. I think after a very emotionally fulfilling week with a beloved sister (or friend, or brother, or whoever you don't see all the time) some of your shopping/hunting emotional energy is either spent or fulfilled depending how you look at it. Once you readjust to the usual (which is not to say the usual isn't fulfilling, but we do get used to our routine) you may have more HEWI hunting willpower. Hope that makes sense!

Glad you had a great time at Sundance! Bradley Cooper was here where I live filming a movie a few years back ("The Place Beyond the Pines") and I was hoping to meet him - they did a lot of filming at the high school - but alas, it was not to be.
I have at times felt exasperated with shopping for certain items. It's depressing when the perfect fit, perfect item just isn't out there. Not only that, but it takes up a lot of time which is always in short supply. When that happens, I stop looking. And you know what? That's when I usually find it!

So glad to see your update! I'm logging in after a few days away from the forum. Furry vests galore. I'd love to see the sketches of your furry-vest wanted-list.

HEWIs, well ... that's the story of my core wardrobe items, so right now I'm plateau-ing.

Whaaaaat! You met Bradley Cooper??? Sorry I only got as far as that sentence. I'll come back in a few minutes and read the rest while I go and compose myself

Phew! I'm back. Wow, sounds like you had a fabulous time and you must be so proud of sis. Sorry you couldn't find what you were after, but maybe the thing with HEWI's is that you have to just happen upon them when you least expect it, kinda like true love Cute beanie pic btw

I think its normal to be worn out from fashion and a weekend of celebrity spotting. I mean, its so much time and energy that we all spend on this type of consumption, some could call it art, but for most of us, fashion is a question of fitting in and not looking ridiculous, trying to look our best, but desperately trying to keep up with what that means... Take some time doing things that help you feel grounded and good about the world. The answer to happiness is not a furry vest, even though it does feel good for a few minutes

Wow, you got to go to the AGOT party! (nice alliteration)
Pure envy beaming your way.
I think with the shopping exhaustion it's a case of sitiing back and waiting for the relevant celestial bodies to align.
Or, you might simply be travel weary.

It was so fun to read about your sister time and your celeb time! But I can understand how exhausted you are! Just hearing about the crowds and the celeb rush at Sundance made me tired. So nice to have you back.
I've been doing so much less shopping lately -- waiting for spring, which is miles and miles away. I have to stumble upon something at this point. I know I'll be recharged and ready when the air warms again.
Sorry you didn't ski! But there is plenty of snow in New England.

Sounds like you had a fun time!

It's been my experience when you try to find something specific, it's always a hair-pulling experience. The needle in the haystack. It's so much easier to find something when that something could be anything (!!)
