Thanks for the feedback, Gail and Lisa. It's funny, those first ones are really comfortable, but I wonder if they're just not distinctive enough to truly spark up my summer wardrobe. I'm thinking I should keep them anyway because they were not expensive, and I will probably wear them into the ground (my old silver ones are also Franco Sarto, bought at TJMaxx or some such, and I've more than gotten my money's worth out of them). It seems like there is a small zone in between "too classic" (might veer into "boring" on me because my summer style is less edgy than my winter style) and "too wacky." I'm having trouble pinning down that zone. I want casual but not *too* casual -- refined casual, I suppose. Gee, I'm not demanding at all, am I?
Thanks for the suggestions, flytigress! I think that sandals, more than any other kind of shoe, really are best viewed on actual feet! So many stock photos online look totally meh, but might be better represented with a model photos (I'm looking at you, Nordstrom -- at least Shopbop and Zappos have this figured out).
